I’m glad that I’d finally managed to make a successful redemption for a free pair of tickets to My Sister’s Keeper. Frank was the one who introduced me to the book back in SMTI in 2006. I, in turn, tried to get Maine to read it. Not only did she refused to, she also questioned my Sexual Orientation, not for the first time, again. Just what is wrong with her? Anyway, that’s 3 years ago!
It’d been quite a while since I last watched a sobbing movie in the theater. And I’m looking forward to it. Not going to bring Kleenex though! I’m not the teary kind. I think the last movie that got to do with SAD was Marley and Me, with Ashley and Keith. And how fucking long ago was that?
It’s always quite a pain to get my god-sis, Gim Li, out. She just love to reply your invitation with endless question. My all time favorite is when she ask, ‘Who else be going?’ I be like, since when we have such a big group? Isn’t it the same old faces that we see every time during the gathering? Plus minus a few who can’t make it due to some commitment? Seriously, ‘who else be going? ‘
Nowadays, whenever she ask that, I will just go sarcastic and tell her that Grandpa, Gramps, 3rd Uncle, her father, and my father be joining us. If you know me, you will know that those people who I’d mentioned are no longer around.
Today, I thumbed her a message to check if she’ll be keen to join me for My Sister’s Keeper, 715pm show tml @ Cine as I have a pair of extra tickets.
She replied ‘My Sister’s Keeper?’ ( Here we go again! )
‘Yup! My Sister’s Keeper!’ ( Seriously, is my English that bad? That she don’t understand? How difficult is it to know the meaning of Sister and Keeper anyway? )
Thankfully, she’s keen! I almost called her to give her a piece of my mind when she asked, ‘Where is it?’
-_-” Didn’t I mentioned Cine in my first message? Is there a second Cine in existence, other than the one in Orchard Road?
Just when I thought I’d cleared the air, she suddenly asked whether am I sure that the date is correct as she couldn’t find the information online. I refused to waste my time to compose a message of explanation. Instead, I took a picture of the ticket and sent it to her with the name, ‘I’m very sure!’

Despite feeling the urge to murder her at times, she’s still one of my best cousin. Her sarcasm and tui-ness never fails to crack me up! Okay! It can be irritating at times! Still, it’s a give and take lar =)
In case you are wondering, what’s with the god-sis. No! It’s not me! It’s my Mum. She’s my Mum’s god-daughter, which makes her my god-sis.
And the Mahjong session is set on this Friday over @ Maverick’s place. Ashley informed me earlier on that she’ll be making pasta, and assured me that it’s edible and not poisonous. She gave me a withering look when I told her that I’ll be bringing along Bao Ji Wan ( You know? Those small black chinese pills that you will take when you are having diarrhea? ), just in case! Haha…
To round my emotions up -> I can definitely make it through the rain! And no! I’m not having a Mariah Carey moment! Haha
