Yet another compliment letter!

Amazing. I can’t even remember the service rendered which had impressed her. My ex-team leader, Lisa, told me that it’s difficult to impress customer ( Let’s face it! PEOPLE do have ridiculous demands these adays ) and it’s even more difficult to impress one that will take the trouble to drop a compliment in for you.

Whatever the case is! Thanks to you out there who’d gave me the compliment! It’d certainly made my day!

I almost bought this book…

However the thought of making the purchase at the cashier WITHOUT looking like a total loser hold me back!

And it’s finally on the bookshelf!

The last book of the Lost Chronicles Trilogy! Still, it’s the hard cover version though which also means expensive! I’m not a big fan of paying a ridiculous amount of money for the same content when I can get it at a cheaper rate. The paperback should be out in say 2 months time. Good! Just in time for Christmas!

Okay! I’m being gangbang by various emotions at the moment!

I really need a break to sort things out! To know that at the end of the day, THAT’S what I really want!

Yes! I know I’d just went back to work after resting for like 2 months at home. However, you can’t really count nursing a fractured knee cap as a break, can you?

My ideal kind of break >>>> Travelling!

I feel like going to Bangkok again. Shopping is one reason and walking through the streets on a breezy, lazy afternoon, feeling the cool air brushing against your face is another. And I always thought that it’ll be hot in Bangkok but the last trip there had proved me wrong!

I, definitely, be going there again after the X-mas season. Reasons being a) To avoid the possible human congestion in MBK and Cha Tu Chak, that is if I were to go during the X-mas season and b) to still get to enjoy the X-mas Decorations. I went in January this year and may I say, Orchard Road Xmas decoration is nothing as compared to those in Bangkok =)

I’d already sent an e-application to apply for a place to study in SIM next year. I’ll be pursuing a Degree in Marketing ( RMIT ). If it’s successful, I’ll be back to the salt mines by 4th of January which is equals to there goes my Bangkok trip.

Well, in most situation, one just can’t have the best of both world!

I’m kind of behind the 8 ball, of late. That’s the result of going on unpaid leave for a period of time. Not like I have a choice!

The Red Bomb

I’d received a red bomb ( YES! That red bomb! ) from a friend recently. We were from the same class back in Poly and he’s getting married soon.

I haven’t see him since Year 2. Therefore, you can imagine the surprise I’d when I knew I’m included in the guest list.

The dinner be held in Expo, which is something new for me. Yes! I’ve been to Expo but it’s totally a virgin thing for a wedding dinner.

Not that I’m a miser but I’m really low on cash these days. That ang pau is going to burn a big hole in my pocket. Haha… I shall treat it as a reunion with old friends. Having said that, THEY BETTER SERVE SHARK FIN AND FREE FLOW OF BEER!!!

I’d already told Maine to either leave me out of the guest list on her big day or just treat me to Pastamania for a little celebration, so I can still feel VERY generous giving her a $50 Ang Pau.

I’d rented the Love of Siam yesterday. It’s a 2007 Thai romantic-drama film, starring Witwisit Hiranyawongkul and Mario Maurer.

And it’s such a great show! Definitely one of the best which I’d watched this year.

I was surprised by the acting skills of Witwisit Hiranyawongkul, considering the fact that he’s only 17 at that point of time. Mew, the character he played in the film, had question about love and I find them interesting!

1) If you love someone, can you bear losing that person?

2) But can you live without loving anyone at all?

3) What about the rest of your life?

I can relate to that as I’d lost someone who’s very dear to me before and I miss him very, very much still. In a crude way, it will be…

1) Life without love sucks!

2) Life losing someone whom you love sucks big time!

3) Life can be a bitch at times!

One of the songs, Gun Lae Gun, is very nice! The lyrics are extremely meaningful and he sang it with such fervent.

Despite the fact that I’ve a limp, I went to Vivo’s Awfully Chocolate on Thursday evening, after work, to collect the 2 cakes meant for the celebration the next day.

And M1 had a Charity Carnival yesterday. I’d purchased a slice of Oreo Cheese Cake ( Secret Recipe ) for a hefty $10. Well! Anything for Charity! They’d even code-named it as ‘ HOPE ‘ cake, with the email sent out to all who had made their purchased donation, ‘ Please collect your HOPE from the AA ‘.

I was telling Ashley about the $10 which I’d coughed out, and she told me not to complain as “I paid $20 lor! ” Since that woman is on a diet, I offered to finish off her share( She ordered Chocolate Indulgence ). She gave me a big NO!, saying that “I want to eat! “

… And she’s on a diet!

Pardon me! But I sucks at remembering names. The proceeds will go to a few Charity Organisation. One of them is a Children Home, I think! A group of kids came by to give a special performance to express their gratitude.

I caught them having lunch in the Cafeteria. All of them had a lunchbox each, and when they opened it up, I saw sparkles in their eyes. Broad smile started to form on their adorable faces.

I couldn’t helped but grin. It’s amazing how the simplest thing can make a kid’s day. When I went back to the office, upstairs, the first thing I asked Ashley,” When was the last time you actually smile when you see a burger? “

She had to take a moment.

Not only her, I’d to take a moment too.

The stress-less-ness and the carefree-ness plus the naive-ness of kids! So pure and simple! I do envy them!

We were supposed to wear Pink and White to show our support. Let us be honest! I don’t have anything Pink! Though a self-proclaimer of Pink-Hate-r, Ashley actually said, “Pink is the new Black!”

What an eye-roller statement!!!

She wore that Pink Haivanas slippers and carried that Pink Long Champ bag of hers to give her earnest support.

I looked at that pair of Haivanas and I looked at her, “I thought Slippers aren’t allowed even on dress down day?” This isn’t fair! why is it that girls can pull that off and get away with it?

Still trying to get her computer to start up, she replied, “I don’t care! They said to wear Pink! And I’m showing my support!”

The Physio Session

The physiotherapy session on Tuesday was good. The physiotherapist, Julie, whom I was previously under was allocated to another hospital. I’m currently under another one, whose name is Pei Shi.

Just as we were about to kick start the session, she asked whether have I been doing knee bending exercises on my own. I told her I haven’t been, mainly due to the fact that I’d a fall just last week and I’m not really sure given that condition, am I allowed to even start bending or not. The fear of bending the knee without getting it crack is also another factor.

She told me that according to the reports, my kneecap is already healing and since I’m afraid of getting myself started on those excercise, ‘Let me get you started!‘ she said.

I’m glad that I’m making progress! The initial knee bending measurement was about 40 degree. However she managed to help me till 70 degree towards the end of the session.

Thanks you very much, Pei Shi! I really appreciate it !

I’m glad that most of my favorite US Drama serials are back for the new season. There’s Fringe Season 2, Gossip Girls Season 3, ANTM Season 13, and Survivor Season 19.

And SHIRMAINE SEOW, is still holding on to my birthday gift!

The Fall

I’d a bad fall last Wednesday! Didn’t see that wet patch on the ground and the next thing I know, I slipped and landed on the ground in a very awkward position. The left kneecap turned inwards and the side hits the ground HARD !

The pain was excruciating. I couldn’t stand up afterwards. The first thing that came across my mind was ‘ SIAO LIAO ‘! The left kneecap, happens to be the injured one! I, certainly, doesn’t want to go through another operation to get it fixed.

2 passerby helped me up to a nearby seat to rest. I called Kartina (who’s working as a nurse tat the A&E Department in NUH) to check with whether is it ideal to call an ambulance. She advised against it, as it’s not considered as a non-emergency case, meaning I’ll have to cough out the ambulance fee ( That’s the last thing I need! ) and to make the matter worse, she informed me that the A&E be packed with people ‘around this time’.

I’d to limped home to get my crutches. At the same time, I informed Maine that I won’t be able to join her for dinner. It’s for her birthday

I took a cab to NUH. Rather than getting myself started to think on the worst, I channel my thoughts to what will I be doing later. Telling myself that will be able to go home, the X-ray will turn out fine… At the same time, I started praying.

Just as the cab was turning into Clementi, Maine called, expressing her concern. I told her that I haven’t reached the hospital yet, but I’m fine. And she replied, “Okay! But you are really serious hor? You won’t turn up later suddenly and tell me that it’s a surprise with a cake hor?”

-_-” That Bitch!

“NO! Why will I be joking about something like that?”

“No mah! How I know?”

“Go and die!”

I finally reached the hospital. And to my surprise, it wasn’t packed with people. I could even count without using up the fingers of my hands. God bless!

Registration and triage was fast. The nurse who had attended to me was very sweet and warm. She got a wheelchair for me and get a colleague to push me into the waiting area.

Micheal Jackson ‘Live in Munich’ Concert was having an encore telecast on Channel 5! And the King of Pop was singing Thriller. It goes, ”Cause this is thriller, thriller night…’

… Great huh? Even the TV is mocking me! I’m also having some kind of Thriller of my night over here! And honestly, I don’t really need it!

AND THE X-RAY TURNS OUT FINE!!!

It’s a miracle!

I’d to go through a 3rd operation on 10th of July, because the review wasn’t great. The fractured parts didn’t healed. I’d the injury on the 26th of March. And between that period, I didn’t even fell down.

Now, after that fall which I landed in an awkward position, it’s alright?

It’s a miracle!

I can’t explain it, but I’m very happy that I’m fine. Due to that hard hit on the ground, it’s swollen, and I experienced difficulties in my mobility. Had to survived on Kenny and Lanny again. The doctor bandaged up my kneecap to compress the swell, gave me painkillers and a week of MC.

Still, I’m just glad that everything is okay!

Praise the Lord!

Bach Night!

What was supposed to be a Steamboat gathering, became a Pizza one instead! Like what Zhi Hao had called it, ” Bachelor Night! ” No gals involved ( no gays too! )! Just a few guy pals who haven’t meet up for quite a long time, catching up.

Wei Long was in Kuala Lumpur, on a business trip while Vinson had other social engagement to attend to. Kian finds that it’s pretty troublesome to have to go through the hog, just to prepare food for 4 people. Thus, I suggested Pizza!

Rather then calling in, Zhi Hao drove us to Greenridge Shopping Center (nearest branch from my home, that’s why! ) to get our sinful delights! The company which that lucky chap works in, ‘ supply ‘ him with a van to drive. And I was impressed with his parking skill. All it took was one shot into the lot and the van was in!

While on the way back, Kian and Lian Jie was discussing about the sound system, stereo blah blah one has in one’s car. And somewhere along the line, Lian Jie casually mentioned that the ones in Zhi Hao’s van cannot make it. Suddenly that chap felt a need to defend himself, in this case, his van and turned up the volume, saying proudly that his van is an Ah Beng!

… Honestly, it really is! I was shocked at the sudden ‘ Boom Boom Boom ‘ going on in his van. I’d to tell him to relax and turn it back down, since he’d already proven his point. I swear that it’s like ‘ Phuture ‘ on the move! This taught me something! Never EVER underestimate the sound system of a van!

Kian, Lian Jie, Me and Zhi Hao

In case I’d left this out in my previous post, Kian is 15 minutes older than Zhi Hao.

I’d a fun evening. We talked about those days spent in Ngee Ann Poly. Life was so good back then. Other then the grades, there’s practically nothing to worry about! Okay! The fact that I’m always single is one LARH! Zhi Hao and I were laughing about how we would skip some of the lectures/tutorials once we hit the maximum attendance count. One can afford to miss up to 2 classes for each module =)

Other than Ming Yong, I think both of them are my only other good friends who have lots ( anything more than 2 is considered as lots in todays world ) of siblings. Ming Yong has 3 while the twins (excluding each other) have 4, which means their mum gave birth to 6. WOW!

Zhi Hao then introduced me to his niece and nephews via facebook! And his first nephew, Jonah, is already 5! He was still a baby when I was in Poly. God! I’m getting old! Kids! They just grow up so fast.

And I’m shocked to learn that he currently has 4 nephews and 3 nieces. Woah!

I can tell that he love all his nephews and nieces a lot. He was telling me about how poor their family was last time, and for most of the times, they won’t even have a birthday cake on their birthday. Thus he made a promise to himself that his nephews and nieces WILL or rather MUST have a birthday cake on their birthday.

Let’s meet up again soon!

The Steamboat

Kian called in the evening to ask if my home be available this Saturday!

He’s planning a steamboat and be asking his twin brother, Zhi Hao ( who’s also a very good friend of mine ), Weilong, Lian Jie and Vinson along.

Been a long time since the group of us come together! We were all from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Here’s the weird link!

Both Zhi Hao and I were from Mechanical Engineering, in the same class.

Kian, Liang Jie, Vinson and Weilong were in Building Enviromental, in the same class.

Weilong and I have been good friends since Secondary School.

Kian and Zhi Hao are twins.

Though in the same class but both Zhi Hao and I didn’t talked to each other. I don’t like his stuck up look then ( Sorry Bro! But that’s the first impression! ) and he find my singing irritating, that he even stopped me once from singing during tutorial! ( We are even! A tit for a tat! haha )

I get to know Kian through Wei Long and we hit it off.

It was then I realised ‘that person who looked like Kian’ from my class is none other then his twin.

Vinson, Lianjie, Kian and Wei Long are one clique! Always doing projects together!

The rest is history!

I’m looking forward to this Steamboat session. Hopefully the rest can make it =)

The Stranger

I went to get the threads remove today!

And I can go back to work tomorrow!

Not that I’m really keen to go back, it’s not an exactly what you will call a dream job. I’m not complaining. At least till now, they hasn’t fired me for being out of sight for 4 months this year. I managed to survive till now with whatever savings I have. Thankfully, I’ll be able to start saving again.

At the end of the day, dragging yourself to work is quite are chore and certainly something not worth looking forward to. BUT! It’s the people that you work with, who are the ones that keeps you going. And I’m glad that I’d made quite a few friends there. I’d used the word few because most people are best to remain as colleague! Afterall, it’s a world out there and everyone is for themselves. Hard fact of life, but true!

As usual, there’s a queue today!

I was waiting for my turn and suddenly this stranger, who’s sitting beside me asked, “What had happened to your knee?”

I told him that it’s a fracture. To my surprise, he’d the same injury too! Just that his was fractured into 4 parts (Mine was ‘ split ‘ into 2 ) and he’d the accident last December. He’s on the road to recovery. The doctors had removed the wires in his knees and he’s able to walk with a slight limp already. Same as me, he was there to get the threads removed.

He even told me to stay patient and have to listen to my body!

Somehow, I can’t help but feels that he’s a messenger from God! (Praise the Lord! ) If he who’d his kneecap split into 4 parts can recover, I, who had my knee spilt into 2 sure can!

I was updating Cuiling about my status this afternoon. And she replied, ‘ You are healthy! Haha! ‘

I told her that ‘ Still! Able to dance to The Way I Are then = healthy for me! ‘

I’m looking forward to that day when I can swim, run and play basketball again. I don’t think I’ll give up clubbing! I love to dance too much! Haha…

The Prayers

While making our way to Raffles Hotel the other day for the Buffet Lunch, Ashley told me about this job that she’s applying for and that since I’m attending church, I must remember her in my prayers.

” For getting a boyfriend? ” I asked. That woman is going through a diet again. I’d asked her ‘ Whose that guy? ‘ but she denied having one at the moment. I find that hard to believe coz usually girls put themselves on a diet for 3 main reason (a) Wedding dinner or a reunion gathering that’s round the corner, (b) THAT GUY! (c) ‘My best friend is fucking thin and I look like a pig standing next to her in the photos!’. Those who says to stay healthy? Please! You aren’t over 40 yet! Who are you trying to kid?

” No! For that job and since you’d mentioned it, for a guy too! I’m not too greedy! Am I? ” She asked.

Haha!

Staying Positive really does aid in recovery!

I’m feeling great at the moment.

Life’s been good so far.

I can now walk without limping that much already.

If everything is okay the next review, I’ll be able to go back to work!

Meeting with Lavid’s 6 to go Comex later. I’m going to grill Kartina for more updates!!!

Woohoo! NUM is having a ‘ Any 2 Items for 50% off ‘ sale. It’s to celebrate their September Founders day!

Finally, I get to buy their Singlets without feeling the pinch. I only cough out $34.95 for it. Dirt Cheap! Sharon bought the other one to form the 2 items for the promotion.

I wanted to get a pair of trunks, however their selection is way too sexy for me. Let’s just put it in this way! I’m not that comfortable showing off my package larh.

Okay! I’m counting down to 15th September.

Maine had agreed to get me The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown as a birthday gift.

I’ll be getting her the Wang Lee Hom ‘ Music Man ‘ Live in Concert DVD.

I’d decided to do away with the surprise and checked with her instead. Because the last time I tried during X-mas gift exhange, she’d bought that Wang Lee Hom album. Now? That album is lying around somewhere in a corner, collecting dust!

09-09-09 Birthday Celebration with Lavid’s 6 + Halo 4

Earlier on in the afternoon, I was informed that Jonah had to attend a meeting and Cindy need to work on her project. Therefore Shirmaine asked if it’s okay to reschedule instead, to meet @ Halo Bar the next week to chill.

Though not the birthday boy and ain’t the one to be set the aeroplane on, she sounded angry saying, ” They are so last minute! I hate it! “

I told her that it’s okay! And we can always meet some other day

Later on, we saw each other online and she complained that her father will conveniently forget that it’s her birthday and not get her a cake! ( For those who are late, Maine is also a September baby! Just that she’s a year younger and her’s falls on 17th )

I reminded her that she’s not Ryan Seow ( Her brother, 12 years old, also the baby of the Seow family ).

She typed out a big ‘ ARGGGGGGGGH!’ and at the same time, ‘ Even if he does get 1, it will be Mango Cake! ‘

Reason being -> Ryan loves Mango! Haha…

This led us to discuss about our favorite type of cakes. We both decided that it sucks that they don’t do Watermelon, Fruit cake are nice ( Obviously not Mango! ) and Chocolate cakes varies.

Get one from Swee Heng = Cheap and for the sake of just getting a birthday cake!

Get one from Prima Deli = It’s nice! But that crazy woman argued about the food poisoning case from the other time. Please! Doesn’t mean that we have to condemn it for the rest of our live lah !

And despite the fact that we are the best bitch, we still have to sms each other ‘What’s your add huh? ‘ before dropping by for a visit.

She thought that I was living @ block 700 plus!

And Yingmei helped me get the door.

Expecting that it will be 2 boys in blue, I put on my best ‘apologetic‘ look and started to limp over too. Ying Mei turned around and told me, ” Qilin, it’s actually your friends! “

I was thinking who else will have come? Those who are suppose to be here, are here! And those who had cancelled, I know!

And there they were! My Halo 4 gang with another Poly friend, Shu Hui, standing right at my doorstep, with Shirmaine holding on to a birthday cake, saying ” Happy Birthday! “

I’m surprised and touched!

And it’s the first time that I’d ever gotten 2 birthday cake on the same day! Thanks!

And yet another SURPRISE! Kartina presented me with another present! Saying that, “This one then is the real one!”

They had actually bought me a pair of Calvin Kleins and a Mr Jerk Tee shirt from NUM. Thank you very much!

And I was required to change into those at once!

Not bad! I didn’t know I have an ass!

The moment I stepped out of my room, Sharon asked excitedly, “ How was it it! How was it? How it felt like? ” She had been asking me to dump those Renomas of mine and upgrade to CK for the longest time already!

It actually felt great! Honestly, at the end of the day, though it’s expensive! You still get what you’d paid for!

Then Shirmaine pulled me aside, to the kitchen, lifted up the back of her top slightly and showed off her tattoo.

…

It took that woman 6 years to decide whether to get her hair dyed.

But it took her only like a few days to decide to ‘ scar ‘ her body permanently! I shall make a mental note not to entertain her ‘ Kee Lin, should I…! ‘ moment the next time!

At the same time I updated her about what I’d heard from Kartina. We went into a frenzy state, scream, hold hands and started jumping up and down ( I was hopping on one leg, if that’s what you are thinking! Not that I want to! I HAD to!) . Fuck! And I can’t believed that I had a blonde moment with her. Haha…

09-09-09 Birthday Treat from Ashley and Natalie

Both Ashley and Natalie treated me to this $58++ per person, buffet lunch in Raffles Hotel yesterday! Thank You girls for the treat.

We’d agreed to meet @ City Hall Control Station @ 1145, to make it for the buffet by 12pm and eat till our fill, and stuff till you drop to get the money worth, all the way till they closed @ 2pm.

And I was surprised to see Jia Yun. We were from the same batch and she had quit M1 since Feburary! She’s the baby of our group, being the youngest @ 22 year old! It was so great to see her again.

As usual, that bitch, Ashley, was late! Her fingers was pointing at yet another friend, Keith, when she making the way out of the station. She said, ” Not me! him! ” Yarh! As if I will really believe you!

We set foot and make our way to Raffles Hotel. It took us quite awhile to find it. Out of the 6 of us, only Nat and her husband had been there before. The rest of us are totally clueless. I was quite worried that I asked Ashley, “Are you sure it’s safe to let the Malaysians bring us around?”

Don’t get me wrong! I’m not being a racist! Just find that it’s kind of malu to be lost in our own turf and have 2 foreigners leding the way.

We managed to find the place eventually and before entering, Ashley and Nat reminded me that we be doing fine dining, it’s a high class place and not to speak too loud!

I told them, flatly ” I will try not to! “

And for what seems like a hundredth time, Ashley decided swear off alcohol. She said, ” I will still club and drink lah! Just no more hardcore drinking! “

“But how can there be no hardcore drinking when you club? ” I questioned.

“Yes! There can be!”

“Please! There’s no such thing as softcore drinking when you club okay!” I exclaimed, trying to make her see reason.

” Can you stop talking in a porn way? “

And we are doing fine dining?

I almost fainted when she shared with us, “You know? My friend’s dog was having menses that day and she had to wear a special diaper?”

I almost choked on the tea that I was enjoying. I asked her, ” What you mean! Female dogs? They have menses too? “

She threw me a look from sideways and explained impatiently, “Yes they do! Hello! Female dogs?”

”I won’t know! I don’t study dogs for a living! And can we stop this conversation? It’s kind of wrong! I said and started looking around anxiously. Afterall,we are doing fine dining.

“Okay! I will stop!”

“Good!”

“Anyway, when my friend took off the diapers…!”

“Ash! Stop it!” I said and squinted at her.

Tell me! We are doing fine dining again!

09-09-09 Birthday Celebration with the Lavid’s 6

And they were here to celebrate my 09-09-09 birthday at my home , last night! It was a night filled with fun, drinks and sinful foods.

All of them wore black. So happened I’m wearing the same color too!

I’d asked them not to get me anything! Just a birthday card will do! Still, Kartina gave me a present, saying that it’s a ‘ personal organizer ‘.

-_-” It’s actually a calender. Those Chinese kind, printed on cheap papers with Fu, Lu and Shou printed on the cover. They told me later that they had a hard time finding it, as it’s not near 2010 yet. Yes! They gave me the 2010 edition.

They even gave me a small version can? Saying, “ It’s for you to put in your bag! “

The thing about Best friends!

They just know your worst habits and darkest secrets. I have this habit of putting a table calendar in my bag. It’s very ‘ handy ‘ in a sense that I keep track of which day are my off/rest day! Just a glance and I know which day I’m available. Why not get a decent organizer, you ask?

… OKAY! I do admit that I’m a cheapskate!

Thanks for this birthday card! I love it very much! Sharon was the one who bought it! Can you believe? She just picked one randomly and the drawings in it, fits! ( minus the old part!) Just nice! Greetings from 3 gals and 2 guyz! And it’s the last one! I will treasure this =)

We tried to come out with Cowboy shots. Sadly, we failed terribly!

PIZZA!

Yingmei was the one doing the ordering. She ended up having what seems like a chat with the Pizza Hut’s Hotline customer service officer ( Obviously a guy! ). That guy suggested we take the Ramadan Special. It’s pretty cheap! 4 regular Pizzas, 1 box of honey-glazed chicken drumlets and 2 garlic breads = $60. We ate till our fill.

Around 9:07 pm, they started to draft out SMS-es, with the idea of sending it to me once it’s 9:09pm. No wonder I didn’t receive any greetings from them via SMSes the whole day.

Okay! There’s a BIG story about the see you on 18th Sept! =)

Other then the 5 of them, Hui Ping was the only other one who’d sent me a greeting by 9:09 too. Just that her’s was sent in the morning. Thanks Pingkuya for going through the hog, setting the alarm to wake up, just to send me that greeting! You are one of the best =)

Had been a long time since I last have a birthday cake, that big, to make a wish upon and to cut at! It’s from Secret Recipe! Outer layer is, of course, Chocolate. The inside contains even more chocolate and filled with generous amount of banana slices. ( Ashley, if you are reading this, STOP DROOLING! haha )

Just after I finised blowing out the candles, and making the same old birthday wish ( You know? Not to be single next year, to have a girlfriend? ), I heard a hard knock on the door.

I took a look at the clock, and at the same time feeling irritated, thinking which fucked up neighbour called the police to complain about the din. And it’s not even 10 pm yet. Isn’t 11pm the norm to complain?

And Ying Mei helped to get the door for me…
