For the first time in my life , I met up with 6 friends in a span of 7 hours.
3rd operation is on this Friday. Before I commence the ‘confinement’ period, I decided to meet with Chew Li and Patricia for lunch. Both of them are working around the CPF Building in Robinson Road. The Sakae Sushi outlet there is a favorite haunt of Chew Li and myself. I forget how the whole ‘love’ started, but if we were to meet up there, we will have that and also,have the standard order. Though not my favorite, I’ll always order Curry Katsu Don. And don’t ask me why… lolz… It’s those kind of things that you will do with no apparent reason, and it’s definitely not a case of some O.C.D.
I’m glad to see that she’s doing better. The radiant is back. I didn’t probe her on her love life, coz no news means good news to me. It’s also good to learn that her eldest sister is pregnant. Congratulations, Da Jie! Since she’s in the early stages, the sex of the baby is still unknown.
As usual, it’s her treat. She refused to take my money. Thanks Sis, I will treat you after I recover.
Since it’s just around the corner, I pop by Hui Ping’s workplace to say Hi. Name of the shop is Strangelets, NO. 87 @ Amoy Street.
… Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the 87th branch in Singapore but is refering to the unit number. The shop sells the quite a number of unique stuffs. Take this beetle which is on display in a glass jar. Ping told me that it’s actually a dead beetle with time pieces mechanism in it. True enough, I can see some of those gears at the back of it’s body.
Because I had to meet Frank Oh in town, I fled the scene after 10 minutes of loitering. It wasn’t part of the plan to meet up with Frank. However, he sms-ed me in the morning to initiate a meet up. It had been close to a year since I last saw him. The only contact is either via SMS, or over MSN.
I tried to get Desmond too, however that lad is under qurantine at home. I asked him whether is it because of an overseas trip. He said no and after a spectacular display of cursing and swearing ( IN CAPS ) over MSN, he told me that it’s because of an orientation camp he attended last week. Someone was tested positive which means those involved have to be qurantined.
Apart from that, I also asked him how are things with him and his girlfriend. And he replied, “You just have to ask me everytime don’t you?” I reminded him that this is part of ‘catching up’ and that it’s all in the package. Haha…
I did asked Lubin to come along. He’s only able to meet us around 6 pm, which I later found out it’s because he be watching Transformer 2 later, so he spent the afternoon re-watching part one for a refresher.
Still, it’s good to see old friends again. We went through Medic Course for 3 months together. Some of us went through thick and thin together. Haha…
Frank and I slacked around in Mcdonalds to catch up. After that we loitered around in town and finally ended up in Borders where Lubin came to find us. After I updated Lubin about that operation whereby they will put screw in this time, he said, “KL, your life is damn screwed up!”
Haha… trust him to come up with that!
Since his show is scheduled @ 7pm in The Cathay. We didn’t get a place to sit down for a chat. Instead we talked as we walked, from Borders till Plaza Singapura.
After that, I went to City Hall to meet with Ming Yong for dinner @ Carls Jr. It’s quite disappointing because they don’t have Beef Chilled Cheese Fries. I guess it’s 2 months till I see you again, BCCF~
