Went for my 2nd review today.
As 8th Uncle was turning into the taxi stand, I was shocked to see a long queue forming ( and Hello Kitty craze is already way over ). Due to the Swine Flu ( or something ), NUH had started taking measures. People who go into the hospital had to have their temperature taken and NRIC registered.
Thankfully, I need not join the mad queue, as I was there for appointment. Besides, with that brace around my left leg and 2 crutches under both my armpits, I can’t stand for long. A staff let me in via another way. Yes! The pirority queue. Of course, given a choice, I would rather not have a bad knee.
Had a x-ray taken.
Hmm… Cracks are still visible but thankfully, the metal wire are still in place. It’s kind of demoralising to see that the cracks ain’t healing. Still, better then nothing. Another appointment set on the 21st May.
Met up with Ming Jin. Last time I saw him was when he visited @ the hospital.
While driving around NUS, looking for an un-crowded spot to settle for lunch, he told me that everytime after he drive, he’ll have to rest for an hour to calm himself down. You see? He’s driving a manual. So happens that NUS have lots of slope and when the vehicle in front stop, you will have to stop too ( duh? ), pull the hand-brake, change to gear 1 and wait for your turn to start again. The shitty thing is that if you miss the biting point, your car will roll backwards and if you bump into that Mercedes behind you, good luck~
After lunch, we went for KTV @ Clementi. My 2nd session within a week. The first one was with the Kee’s group last Saturday.
A fun 3.5 hours spent. Thanks for sending the crippled guy home M.J.
