JBP with Xiao Ge and Sharon

Was supposed to go JBP the week before, however, I decided to try my luck in getting the free pass. That’s why the trip was postponed. I didn’t managed to get the free pass. This despite me logging on @ 9am sharp when the window is open for ‘booking’. At exactly 9.02am, both the free passes was taken up. I totally can’t believed it. Haha…

It was then Yong Jie informed me over dinner that STB is having a promotion. The first 2009 visitor will gain free entry.

… Sadly, we lost the free entry battle again. We were not among the first 2009. Had to coughed out $16 each.

Don’t get us wrong! We weren’t trying to be a bitch by paying with the stack of $2. Just so happen that Xiao Ge have a whole stack of it. I almost fainted when Sharon tied the remaining stack of $2 together with a red rubber band. That’s so loan-shark loh~

Anyway, I was so happy to learn that the Penguins are still in the original place. Turn right after the entrance.

Yeah! With Kor Kor… I used to live in Pandan Gardens and there’s a temple there with quite a number of parrot. I used to make those parrots to call ‘Kor Kor’. Which they really did call~ Brought back sweet old memories~

Dinner with Yong Jie

Met up with my SISPEC buddy, Yong Jie, the other night at Jurong Point for dinner.That guy used to sleep beside me ( different bed of course ). His current status had changed, from single to ’In a Relationship with Xin Yee’. Congruts~

He was listing out the similarites between him and his girlfriend. They both speak Cantonese for one, and pray to the same god for 2. The Goddess of Mercy. After telling me the religion part, he heaved a sigh of relief as he find it hard to accept a Christian for a girlfriend. He said, “Why add another commitment ( going to church every Sunday ) to your list of commitment!”

I debated that his religion requires him to pray on the first and fifteen every month, according to the Lunar Calendar, which also works out to like 4 times a month too.

He mentioned something about at least it’s not on a Sunday or something. Haha…

Bro and I had took turns to show face at the funeral… He be attending the ritual, while I’ll be going for the send off.

Days before, had already planned to Mambo with Lycan Lim, but he rescheduled for Zirca this Saturday Night. Then, received SMS from Sharon asking whether what time I’ll be @ Zouk.

… Which explains why I’m there, celebrating our 12 years of friendship, and clubbing with them for the FIRST time ever~

Anyway, before clubbing, I met up with M1 colleagues for a game of basketball. It brought back sweet old memories of the days spent in Modified Spec 2. After a long day of lecture, we would go for basketball in the evening. I wasn’t a good player then, and isn’t a good player still. Haha… The only thingI’m okay at is grabbing the rebounce, coz I’m tall.

Managed to get the Phuture entry, which by the way, costs $25 per dickhead. I was hoping to pop by Phuturefor R and B after mambo-ing in Zouk. However, didn’t get about doingthat. The rest of the night was spent havingfun and getting high in Zouk itself.

Yeah.. I love this shot. It’s my first time wearing a whatsit around my neck. I’m surprised that the turn-out was quite good.

After finishinga jug of Vodka Lime, 2 jug of Long Island Iced Tea and 6 Cowboy shots, both Yingmei and Kartina went to get 2 jug of Malibu Pineapple. I must really thanks Ming Jin who ‘exposed’ me to this drink. It’s fucking nice. And I always loved the mixture by Zouk.

I wasn’t prepared for the below. Both Yingmei and Kartina suddenly disappeared for a period of time. It was then I heard from Sharon that they went to gett another round of Cowboy.

Another night spend @ the funeral, doing my part for the ‘passed on’. (The word dead kinda sounds offensive ).

Funeral – A ‘not-looking-forward-to-event’ whereby relatives who seldom meet up with one another for the whole year, come together and do their part for the ‘passed on’.

…Or so that’s how I define the term funeral nowadays.

It’s one annual event (different people of course ) that I find myself attending ever since my father passed away a few years back. Kinda immune to it already.

This time round, it’s the funeral of Great-Gramps who passed away at 86. I can’t believed that it’s only last year whereby the same group of people met up and played our respective role for Great-Great-Gramps, whom passed away at 106 ( the one where I wore hot pink ). Great Gramps was still around then…

Anyway, send off is on Thursday. Thankfully, I’m on off. Will be able to attend.

Heard that Paternal Gramps ain’t doing so good. She’s on the ‘anytime soon’ list too.

So, it’s going to be ‘yet another funeral’

Maternal Great Grandma had passed away early morning. Just last night, mum was telling me that she might be ‘anytime’ now as she’s unable to eat and talk already.

My sleep was rudely interrupted by the ringing of my house phone around 7 am. Nowadays, I name these call as ‘heart-stopper’. Coz nobody in the right mind will call late at night or early in the morning.

Strangely, family members from my Paternal side seems to pass away late in the night and those from my Maternal side seems to pass away early in the morning.

So currently, it’s YET another funeral.

Damn it! I was so tempted to change and go meet Cuiling they all @ Double O earlier on. However, I shall ‘lun’ till Wednesday night, coz had already made plan with Lycan Lim ( aka Ming Yong) for Mambo @ Zouk. God! I missed their Long Island Tea and Malibu Pineapple.

So determined were we to go that the both of us had actually rejected Ming Jin’s offer to go Phuture last night. Haha… He had disappeared for quite sometime and suddenly ‘reappeared’ via a SMS on Thursday night, asking us to meet up for Phuture.

I quickly called M.Y for a confirmation that ‘I’m not seeing things’ and we both reached a decision whereby if he’s feeling sad over some issue and need us to be there (be it a shoulder to cry on or drink till silly ), we WILL be there to give our support.

Haha… turned out it’s because he haven’t been clubbing for quite a while, therefore the jio. We both decided to ‘fuck it’ and save the money cum energy till next Wednesday~

For the first time ever, I had back-to-back steamboat. On the 6 with my Poly Mates and On the 7 with my Cousins. AND I was the one getting the stuffs on both days. Just that, for ‘On the 7′, Gim Li was there to help out. Just to sidetrack, she made amazingly nice Wanton *saliva dripping*

2 weeks ago, she had sent a mass email out, with the subject header ‘ Towards the 10 Million $ Dream ‘ to gather people who are interested in winning the Chinese New Year Big Ang Pau Toto. We are to chip in $10 each.

Good News~ We Won

Bad News~ Not the ultimate prize, but only a mere $90. Spilt among the whole lot of us.

We decided to spend it on food instead.

Anyway, Shirmaine kind of bastard me and I’d to do all the shopping myself. Since she couldn’t be there pyshically, she gave her advice on what to buy and what not to buy through handphone. I complained to her, “…things that I will actually do for my friends!”

Was complaining to Sharon that I’d yet to try the HOR FUN over at the ‘Chi Char’ stall over @ Choa Chu Kang, the one which we will always go whenever we hang out @ her place.

I’m so amazed by how one we were and still are currently. After a couple of SMSes and a phone call, we’d already made agreed to meet up for the HOR FUN. Haha… She managed to get Ying Mei too. Failed to get Kartina and Genki, both of whom have to slog their ass through work.

Still, the 4 of us had so much fun. AND the HOR FUN is so delicious, so much so that I’d 2 plates of it. Not only that, their fried rice is also very …*saliva dripping*.

Since I will have to pass by South View ( where Xiao Ge’s and Sharon’s love-loft is situated at) I shall make it a monthly affair to at least meet up once with them to have Hor Fun together.

As we were bitching and reminiscing the good old Secondary School Days, it suddenly dawned upon both Ying Mei and I that this album of Zhang Hui Mei, sort of played a huge part in quite a number of silly moments.

If I ain’t wrong, Ying Mei, Kartina, Jeslyn and myself has a copy it. It was because of her 牵手 that I bought the album. Over my growing up years, I came to love all the songs in this album. I can safetly say that this is one of the few albums which I’d bought, that I listened to every songs

We will start acting as if we are really holding onto a bowling ball, walk for a while, and throw the ‘ball’ out. Haha…

In 2000, we started hanging out less, which Ying Mei claimed was due to a camping incident. I was astonished when she made that claim, as I’d honestly forgotten about it. My jaw dropped when she even told me that name of the camp. Haha… It goes to shows that all ladies have a memory of an elephant.

Since they are a year older then me, as I was preparing for my N levels, they were preparing for their ‘Os’. When I did eventually reached Secondary 5N, they had already graduated from Tanglin Secondary School.

I didn’t meet up with them during my Poly Phase. Each of us were busy with our own things. I was shocked and touched by the fact that they turned up during my father’s funeral in 2005.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Sadly, Selene ( Kate Beckinsale ) ain’t in this one. Or rather, she did make a cameo apperance of not more than 1 minute, during the ending part, which marks the beginning of Underworld ( This is the prequel )

I told M.Y beforehand that the 8-days only gave it a 1.5 stars rating. However, we still go ahead with it as he’s a die-hard fan.

A bit of a history, he didn’t catch the first one when it hit the screen in 2003. He only watched it last year.

Me? I’m not that interested when I first watched it. It wasn’t till I saw the remaining Vampire Elder, Marcus ( You know? the one with wings flying around? ), in Underworld: Evolution, that I watched Underworld again. Haha… I was abit puzzled because I thought that there should be 3 elders. If Viktor was killed in the Underworld, and Marcus in Underworld: Evolution, where the fuck did the 3rd one go?

… She was actually killed in Underworld too. In the most un-memorable death. On board a train. I was like ‘HUH?’

The show definitely worth more than 1.5 stars rating. After coming out from the cinema, Ming Yong whispered to me, “Actually, I’m a Lycan!”

The best people to spend the festive season with are either family members or very close friends.

So we had a gathering @ Mike’s cum Sharon’s place on the 31st. It’s the 2nd visit for both me and Yingmei, in less than 24 hours, as we were both there the night before. We had potluck. The only 2 person of the usual gang, who didn’t turned up, were Genki and Estella.

Their home is the ideal place to rot can? I love the sofa and there’s even a Pool Table. Not that I really like to play pool, but still the idea of having a pool table in your home, now how cool is that. And Xiao Ge has this amazing collection of Manga.

The whole lot of us had miscalculated the amount of food to prepare. For fear that the amount prepare will be insufficient,we ended up preparing more. THAN. enough. Haha…

I challenged, “Lisa, does it even look offensive to you?” I was wearing my M1 XXXL jacket then, like Superman ready to fly up the sky, I sort of opened up and show her the design again. She told me that I should zipped it up for the rest of the day, hiding my T-shirt inside my jacket. Haha…

Shit, another very un-glam shot of me. I had a haircut and before that I went to gym with Xiao Ge, therefore, after bathing I didn’t bother to sort of go into ‘look good’ mode.

Honestly, I do wonder how did I survived through my Secondary School Days and Poly Years, looking like a piece of crap.

Yeah~

Every pieces is fitting in nicely. The last major piece will depend on the number of people who had promised to come, will even bother to turn up or not.

The initial plan was Potluck. However, both Maine and I decided to scrap it as most of them will be coming straight from work, and bringing food to work can be quite a drag.

Maine checked online, and found out that ‘they’ ( I also don’t know who is she refering to ) only cater for BBQ and not steamboat. So it’s up to me to make it happen. I’ll be off on Friday anyway. Be getting the stuffs @ Sheng Siong.

… AND they better turn up, or else!!!

Maine surprised me at my workplace earlier on. She was supposed to drop by my home to pass me the steamboat set, however, there she was waiting for me at the carpark. And she even flash the headlights on me like I’m a whore. Haha… Happy for her that she has a car now! (You go gal )

Anyway, I’d told Ashley that I’ll be squeezing in a Gym session into my weekly schedule as, ‘I want to fit into a N.U.M. tight fitting gay t-shirt’ before I hit my 30s. lolz

Actually the main reason is to keep fit. And of course healthy!

I love to take off my shoes at every possible chance. It’s always good to air dry your feet. Haha…

Apparently, quite a handful of people say that I look like an Ah Beng. I’m like ‘no shit’. Which part of me looks like a C.A.B ? (Chao Ah Beng). I joked with Ash that we should have an ‘Ah Beng’ day, whereby we turned up to work wearing very Beng-Lian clothings. She told me that she don’t have those stuffs anymore.

” What about your platforms? ” I asked. It’s one of the necessities of the shorties ( Oops! Don’t kill me Ash ) back in those years. A long JPG wallet and a sharp pointed comb are also beng-lian must have.

I was surprised when she told me that she had threw them away and almost fell off my chair when she informed me that she will check with Khay to see if she’s a pair or not.
