Double O, 26th July

Going to Double O wasn’t in my initial plan, as I’m in the morning shift the next day. However, since a) I’ven’t chiong with Cuiling for so long and b) Sherlyn and Shaoya is also going. Might as well. To hell with M8 shift!

As usual, a meet up isn’t a meet up without cam-whoring. We met up at Clementi first. When we got onto the train towards Outram, we saw yet another friend, Zhiwang. That chap is on the way home after seeing her girlfriend home.

Cuiling’s friend joined us at I-forgot-which-station. We were going up the escalator. Weiming suddenly ran up, turned around and whipped out the digital camera. This shot reminds me of the ‘City-Beat’ era in some sense. Haha… The one featuring the then-fab 4, Kym Ng, Bryan Wong, Sharon Au and Lina Ng.

Pat, Cuiling and Sherlyn, with me at the top

With Pat and Cuiling, it’s close to 10 years of friendship.

However, with Sherlyn, it’s ermm… close to 12 years. *Gasp*

Conclusion: We are getting old! Wahaha…

-_-” Thankfully, I managed to block Weiming from kissing me. Who’s that guy with the startled look? I ain’t the remotest clue. He’s just a passer-by.

The gals are rather gone already.

Don’t ask me where’s Shaoya! She wasn’t with us for almost 3/4 of the time we were there. Her boyfriend was there too. Lolz

Sherlyn and her friend, Magdelene, was really gone by the time we left there. I’d to walked them to the nearby Kopitiam for a drink. Poor Shaoya! She’d to bear the weight of Sherlyn. That drunkard is leaning onto her for support -_-”

The night ended with Weiming, Cuiling, Pat and I sharing a cab home~~

‘Spinning Around’ in T3 and ECP

After dinner at Wan Dou Sek, we went to check out the whores in the various ‘lorong’ in Geylang. Ivan and I were kind of depressed to see the standards/quality of those standing by the streets in the first few Lorong. He took a turn into Lorong 14, and that’s where our eyes almost popped out. The gals there are damn hot! 9 out of 10 have big tits and the remaining make up that for her beautiful looks. They can easily trash the contestants of Miss Universe. OMG!

Because it’s raining, they were all standing under an ‘ ella ella Under my Umbrella ella ella ella eh eh ‘. We saw 2 of them sharing one. I was wondering will they get into a catfight if a customer approach them? I mean, not all will pay for 2 isn’t it?

I always thought that the Bapoks usual hangout is either a Changi Village or Orchard Tower. Apparently, one of the ‘lorong’ belongs to them.

After that, we proceeded to East Coast Park for coffee.

Initially, I thought to get the regular size only. However Li told me, “50 cents more and you can get the large one!”

… I didn’t managed to finish the whole cup. So much for the ‘50 cents’ more.

I took over the wheel and we went to Changi Airport as they want to take a look at Terminal 3. We went, we saw ( the carpark ) and we get the hell out of there. The car park is full. No luck in finding a spot. Instead of helping to look around for a spot, Ivan was busily checking out the various expensive car in the car park -_-

After that, we went to Changi Village. On our way there, we turned off the air con and let down the window. It’s refreshing. However, as I was turning into the long stretch of road leading to Changi Village, they quickly roll up the windows, saying that, ‘Something doesn’t smell right!’ and ‘It’s kind of creepy’. I took a look at the surroundings. Aeroplanes taking off the runway at my right and a forest to my left! Creepy? More like crazy!

2nd dismay of the night! Didn’t managed to see any Bapoks in Changi Village. I turned the car around the carpark and took off.

Home Sweet Home!

Wan Dou Sek

Li had finally passed her driving test. Last Saturday, she went to Pasir Ris to loan the car from my Small Uncle and drove all the whole back to her home in Teban Garden ( alone). This, coming from a gal who went all scared and quiet during a ‘check-it-out’ session in Old Changi Hospital. I must really give it to her.

Anyway, we met in the evening to go for a spin and dinner in Geylang. We met up in Jurong East and Ivan took over the wheels. On the way there, we decided to settle for dinner in Wan Dou Sek. They serve really good Dim Sum.

While looking around for a spot to park the car, we saw 2 prostitute standing by the roadside, already ‘open’ for business. We were kinda shocked as it’s only around 6 plus. Does my species so need sex early nowadays?

On the other hand, there’s no definite time and place for sex. When you want it, you want it!

My point is, I saw them carrying Bonia handbags. I turned around and asked Li, who has a nose for sniffing geniue leather and a pair of cat’s eyes for detecting fake, “Are those Bonia real?”

“There’s no FAKE Bonia! Only got real ones!” Her reason? Bonia is too cheap a brand to imitate. In her opinion, there’s only fake LV. The rest of us laughed our heads off.

As usual, we leave it to Keith to take the orders. There’s a wide spread of Dim Sum to choose from. Luckily, we already know what we want to have.

Lo Mai Kai. They look like those from Khong Guan, isn’t it? Glutinous rice as the base and a few slice of chicken on the top. I shall show you why it’s a must have in the below pic…

It’s a Bird!

No!

It’s a Plane!

No!

It’s a Chicken Wing!

Ta Dah!

Next up is Century Egg Porridge. Trust me! It’s another must have. You are crazy if you walk out of the shop without having it. I almost went for the second round but was stopped by Li, who asked me to leave some space in my stomach for other things.

Chee Cheong Fun. Notice the difference between the one you have in Kopi Tiam and the one here? The sauce is good and the fillings ( Can choose either Char Siew or Prawn ) is delicious.

Char Siew Bun.

Sugar Cane drink. Haha… It’s kinda weird and special at the same time to see that they serve the drinks in dessert containers. I was thinking, ‘Do they go green and re-use those plastic containers again?’

I forget what’s the name of this dish. It’s Tofu, and there’s mango bits in the sauce. Nice!

Another special Tofu. Very ‘Singapore’. It’s the Rojak Tofu.

This is Fried Yam. We all agreed that it tastes like those that Grandpa used to make. Having this really feels like you’ve found a piece of your missing childhood memory.

Cam-Whoring. Haha…

Leona Lewis – I’ll Always Love You

Woah! She made me listen back to this song again.

Bertinus’s 21st Birthday Invitation

Met up with Bertinus and Ming Wei for dinner at Ang Mo Kio. There’s this S-11 branch there that sell really good hawker food. Almost every store is ‘decorated’ with newspaper article and photos of celebrities who had once patroned.

And that’s Bertinus’s invitaion. I laughed my head off upon seeing it. It’s so him to think of that. Not a  traditional ‘Hi! You’re invited’ card, but a 4R photo. He told me and Mingwei that that he had only invited 25 people that day. Wow! What an honour!

Anyway, just to intro. Both Bertinus and Ming Wei were Medics from Mandai Hill Camp. Just that I’m in HQ 2 SIB and they belong to HQ 6 Divsion.

After dinner, we went to Arcade. I don’t really like to ‘Arcade’ BUT looking at other people playing the various games can be a pleasure. I saw this small booklet of advertisement, with Kyo on the cover.

The King of Figthers. The last I played was KOF 99.

The Fatal Fury Team. Mai is well known for her big boobs. While playing the game, Ming Wei told me that it’s like watching Hentai, as Mai’s asset was ‘bouncing’ up and down.  -_-”

Anyway, I got to keep the 27th free. Shit! What shall I get him?

Mambo with MY and MJ

Went Mambo last night. MY and MJ had access to Phuture, as they were there early. Nowadays, a Zouk chop can’t get you into Phuture, due to limited space. They were at Win Bar together with a friend of MJ. AND without even telling me what the drink was, MY asked me to down it. I took a gulp and gave it back to him.

Me and MY. He gotten high first, then become my turn haha

… And there goes my Virgin try of Graveyard. For those who told me that Graveyard is a knocker, LIARS. It’s not strong.

After which, we went into Zouk for Mambo. Woohoo~~ I was lucky enough, as the songs happened to be good. We used our drink coupons to swap for a jug of Gin Tonic. MJ ordered Flaming Lamborghini too. The novelty of the drink is that the bartender will lit the shot with fire. And you will have to drink it with a straw. They will, at the same time, pour in a shot of chocolate milk. Sweet and nice. BUT I don’t think I will go for it again. My current favorite is Cosmopolitan.

We danced for a while before heading to Wine Bar agin for more drinks. 2 jug of Long Island Tea we ordered. And my memory stopped at the first jug. I was a goner.

I called them up today for enquiry. Apparently, after the 2nd jug of Long Island Tea, we each drank a cup of Vodka Red Bull each ( Did we? ) and then we went into Phuture and dance ( Oh. ). I was almost thrown out by the bouncer ( My. ) and MY was the one who accompanied me home ( God! )

Haha…

SL

Yesterday was like a ‘Bill Enquiry’ day. The first half of the day, the Service Level was damn good. It’d been a long time since I last saw ‘above the mark of 80′ for 2 consecutive days. Our guess is that most of our customer are at work, which means that they don’t have the time to call in.

However, the Service Level dropped after 630pm. My guess? Customer went home after work, pass by the letter box, open letter box, took out the letters and tear open the M1 bill and saw the ‘I never use, how come so high’ amount.

… … …

The next thing we know, 40 customer on the waiting list. It was rather depressing.

I was attending to this customer and it was so funny. Her bill is quite high and she complained , “I almost tear the bill!’

Lai Kwan was sitting beside me. At one time, while waiting for the program where we help to do adjustment for the customer’s bill to load, I asked her, “How’s you call?”

She looked at me, and I looked at her computer screen. Apparently, she’s doing adjustment too.

Hopefully, the service level will be good today.

And there’s tomorrow to look forward to. I’ll be going for Mambo after work with MY and MJ. Woohoo

Happy Days!

Hourglass Mage?

Oops! I couldn’t find the left side of my contact lens disposable contact lens when I tried to take them down after clubbing yesterday. It’s either lost somewhere in my left eye, or I did really took them out but just that, it had dropped out off my finger and onto the floor.

Cuiling and the others be going Double O tonight. If only I’m not on morning shift tomorrow, I would have join them. Darn!

I’d finished the last page of Dragons of the Highlord Skies. AND, the thing is, I ‘heard a rumor’ from the web that they don’t intend to publish the third book to finish the trilogy. How can? I was really looking forward to the 3rd installment, Dragons of the Hourglass Mage. This book will mainly be on Raistlin. The lost ‘chapter’ on how he, from the Red Robe turned into a Black Robe. For those who don’t know, there are 3 different group of Mages in Dragonlance. Namely, the White, the Red and the Black. As always, Black = Evil.

Thanks to the brilliant description and writings of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, Raistlin is a very interesting character.

I back to my ‘naked’ self again, without a book. Haha… ( I’ll survie, I’ll survive )

In less than 24 hours, I met up with Ivan and Keith again. This time round, it’s for lunch @ Carl’s Jr. It’s one of my monthly must-have. I’m a easily fulfilled person. Simple little things will me my day. I’d yet to have my monthly indulge of Pastamania yet ( Anyone?).

After lunch, we parted ways. They went to watch Red Cliff. I’m not really interested in history kinda movie, therefore, I opted out. Still, 2 more interesting movies coming up. The month of July is not that boring afterall. There will be The Mummy 3 and The Dark Knight. Despite the price hike on movie tickets, still, some shows are meant to be watch on Big Screen.

Double O. Cosmopolitan

A very last minute decision to go chill after dinner yesterday. I tried to round up the forces but the only ones who are very available are Ivan and Keith. I tried my brother. No luck! Apparently, he’s drinking in West Coast.

Okay! Ivan and I are toying with the idea of getting an ear stud. The 2 main concerns that’s holding me back, are a) Will my mum disown me? , and b) the pain. After giving it some serious thought, I’d decided that the former is more important. The latter? I was a Medic who had gone through Live Intra-Venous training before, with my buddy ‘inserting’ a 16G needle right into my arm, trying to get a backflow. What’s that ‘ear stud’ pain as compare to this? Anyway…

On-board Bus 190. On the way to meet Keith

Few location in mind…

1) Phuture

2) Double O

3) Brewerkz

We chose Double O. However, there’s a problem. Ivan’s not 21 yet. Fearing that he be denied entry, we asked him to go in first. Viola! The door bitch let him in. Phew! 11 plus and still the crowd not there yet. The last time I was here, was with M1 coursemate. I was too high to remember anything. Haha… After a jar of Long Island, we went upstair to Double O.

And OH MY GOD! The music is damn great.

Cam-whoring. Waiting for our drinks

Cosmopolitan! Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte’s all time favourite. Can you believe? It’s only going for $7. We each had 3 cups.

And for the first time in my ‘clubbing’ life, I encounter a Police Raid. The music stopped suddenly, and the lights were turned on, with the DJ annoucing that it’s a normal check and the fun will be back. Since we were on the platform ( For the record, I didn’t do any synchronized dance ), I ’scan’ through the dancefloor. Indeed I see policeman walking around. To kill time, we cam-whored (again).

Our session was rudely interrupted by a sudden felt of water. It was like someone in the crowd decided to go old school, blowing out small ice pieces through their straw. I turned around, thinking of giving the ’suspected culprit’ a good glare, only to see a guy looking at me. I turned back, and turned around again, as I felt ’someone looking at me’. Indeed! He’s still looking at me. It was then I realised that there’s a reason. We know each other.

Herbert, from Modified Spec 2 course. The world is just so small. Something amusing! He was dancing behind me all the time, before the Police Raid.

That dim-wit, Ivan told me that there’ll be free drinks after the raid. I was like ‘No Shit!’. He quoted me an example, saying that he encountered one in Taiwan and the club gave everyone a free Heinken after that. I had to remind him that we are in Singapore, where ‘every cent counts’.

After like close to 10 minutes, the music started blasting again. We left at around 230 am as Keith had to work in another few hours time. It was a very, very fun night. I tried 2 new drinks, Comsopolitan and Sex on the Beach . After a long 5 year hiatus, I get to drink Long Island again.

P.S. I don’t think I will be going to Phuture again. Haha

Dinner at Xing Wang

Met up with some of my family members for dinner at Cineleisure, Xing Wang for dinner. Today was a short day, which means that I get to knock off 30 minutes earlier. The good thing about this job is that you don’t have to bring the work back home with you. Once you are out of that building, take a deep breath and throw all those anger ( which is mainly cause by some stupid spoiler of the day ) aside. Tomorrow is another fresh new day.

Since Li is working around Boon Lay area, we agreed at the very last minute, to meet up at Jurong East MRT station. She arranged to meet at the door, counting from the end of the cabin. When she said the end, she means that away from the MRT operator. Fuck! I waited at the door toward the other end, where the driver is.

I was unable to meet up with her inside the MRT as it was jam-packed. While waiting to reach Raffles Place Interchange, I called up Shirmaine Seow to take my attendance. I said, “Hi! I called, just in case you fuck me for not calling you!”

We managed to do a bit of catching up. AND she told me that she’s watching Forensic Heroes 2 also. I quickly cut in, to say that Charmaine Sheh is damn chio. However, she disagreed with me. I asked why. She said, “I don’t know! She has a one kind look”

“Everyone has a one kind look! You have a one kind look too! Your’s is called a Double Chin look!” I replied, feeling a need to defend my latest idol.

Oh! and how we laugh out loud together! NOT!

As usual, she gave me her signature cold laughter and after which we hang up.

I managed to meet up with Li at Raffles Place Interchange. We need to do a transfer to reach Somerset. Then a short walk to Cineleisure.

I still love Xing Wang HK Cafe’s Curry. It’s not the usual hot and spicy kind, however the taste is rich enough to ‘capture my heart’. The other 2 must have are the Butter Sugar Toast and the Kaya Butter Toast. It’ll be stupid not to order a Iced Yuan Yang to go along. The Iced Yuan Yang come in a Triple 5 brand small metal tin cup. Somehow, when you drink from that, it makes you feel like you are one of those squatters in that ‘chalet’, serving your term.

After that heartful meal, we proceeded to HMV. I know that I’m a few years late, but I’m very, VERY, tempted to get Aunty Maddy previous CD, Confession On A Dance Floor. Ah Long forbid me from doing that and assured me that he will help me get those songs and send it to me.

After we parted our way, I made a trip to Kinokuniya for…

Dragons of the Highlord Skies.

I’d decided not to place my trust in those heartland mall bookshops anymore. First of all, I’m no longer a concession pass holder, which means that I can’t travel around in Singapore taking buses, paying only a fixed price per month. Second of all, the extra $2~$3 is ‘worth the splurge’. And this costs me…

Back in those days, it only cost like $13 to $14. I will have to ‘Hi! Welcome to M1!’ for around 2 hours to earn that money back!

Still! No regrets…

I shall end here.

Be in the Dragonlance world for the next 2 days… Will update when I have the time~~

Oolong Tea

Shit! I’m addicted to SEX  Oolong Tea. Not only that I’m able to ‘Sa-TEA-fy’ my craving for tea, it’s at the same time SUGAR-free. I’m currently on a so-call diet, because my face is too big. Just for the record, I’d just finished a cup of sinful Milk-Tea with extra pearls from Sweet Talk and the XXL Chicken from Shi Lin Ye Shi.

Managed to catch up with Jia Yun via email today. That crazy gal has been working non-stop ever since our confirmation. Her reason? To save up for the Taiwan trip which she’ll be going with another colleague, Jeanelle in December. AND she called in sick 2 days ago. Had to give up the free ride to Singapore Flyer. I mean, it doesn’t make sense that you had reported sick and yet, you can go for an event. It’s like digging your own grave.

Anyway, if she didn’t told me, I won’t even know that she dyed her hair, RED. It still looks like black to me. It’s either a) the stylist did a fuck up job, or b) red had just become one of the few colors which I have trouble differentiating. I’m a certified Color Blind.

Damn it! i should had bought that copy of Dragonlance from Kinokuniya. It’s going for $18.71 and I thought that I can save a few dollars if I go to a heartland shop (SAN bookshp in Westmall) to get it. ALAS! Not only did I not get the book, I spent a couple of dollars on bus fare for nothing.

A new resolution -> You like it, you buy it!

Singapore Flyer

Thursday -> My Off-In-Lieu -> Singapore Flyer tickets distribution day.

… Which is kind of ‘fuck’ for me. I’d to make a trip down to office on Friday, which happen to be my Off day, just to collect the ticket. Still, it’s worth the trip. I mean, it’s not an everyday thing that you get to ride the Singapore Flyer for free.

I’d to collect on behalf of Christina and Mohan. The former is, by the way, Fay’s friend. She was her bridesmaid. You know? Those kind of sister gang who will stand behind the locked door, and demand ‘Ang Paus’ from the Bridegroom?

Free transport was provided but I’d promised to meet Julia in Cityhall at 6pm. As usual, I reached early. I was walking around HMV, looking for a cheap copy of Madonna’s previous album, ‘Confessions On a Dance Floor’, NO LUCK! I switched turf to MPH in hopes of getting the latest Dragonlance. However, NO LUCK! ( again ). Can I get any ’suay-er’ ?

Anyway, after meeting up with Julia and her group of friends, we began our long walk to the Singapore Flyer. Other then the free ride, we were given a Popeye’s Chicken voucher each. Woah! The chicken tasted great, even better then those from KFC.

Going Up (Slowly

730 pm flight = No beautiful sunset to catch. Sucks! On the bright side, it didn’t rain. Else the time spent in there would be like you are taking shelter at the bus stop.

Not bad right? I love my K810i

And that’s the floating platform. I think they are getting ready for National Day Parade 2008.

I was trying to capture a good shot, whereby my face could be seen together with the gorgeous night scene. But…

I tried using the flashlight. AND! There goes the beautiful night scene. Na beh! Can only see my big face. Since I don’t have a look to die for, I decided not to include myself in the picture.

Okay! I don’t know which highway is that -_-”

Still, I find it ridiculous that $240 million was spent in building it.

Dinner with Cuiling and Weiming

Met up with Cuiling and Weiming for dinner at Little India on Tuesday. My initial plan was to go for Carl’s Jr, however, Cuiling asked me whether am I adventurous enough to explore Little India. *Bring it on, Sister*

-_-” We don’t know where to start upon meeting up. After walking up and down, we finally settled down in this ‘Tandoori Returaunt’ ( or something). The price is kind of above average, and thank god! The product turned out okay.

When taking our orders, we asked the waitress for advice. I was thinking of ordering the shop special ( Every shop has a speacial! It’s an unspoken rule!’), so I asked her, “Do you have anything special to recommend?”

“Everything is special!” She replied.

… I almost fainted.

One glass of lime juice actually cost $3.50, and the Chicken Briyani is $8.50. Scary! Next time I shall stick with Carl’s Jr.

After that, we walked to Plaza Singapura and took the train to Orchard Road (Don’t Ask!) to meet up with Pat. She’s having this ’send off’ sort of celebration with her friends. Turned out, I’m not the one with food complaint that day.

Apparently, they went to ‘Ding Tai Feng’ where she ordered this bowl of Minced Meat Mee Pok which costs $8. And the happiest thing was that it didn’t really filled up her stomach. Haha…

Half A Year Gone

And we are into July already, which also means half of Year 2008 is gone. Woah! That’s fast.

Life in M1 -> So far so good! I will be going for a major event tomorrow, The Singapore Flyer. I heard that the tickets are selling at $30 each. This is something which I’ll never ever slurge on. I’m just so happy that M1 is offering us a free ride. Heard that there’ll be lucky draw too, and one of the prizes is an Ipod. I’ll be keeping my fingers very cross.

One funny thing to share. I started talking to this fellow colleague somewhere around my second month in M1. And till now, I still haven’t get her name. Haha! We always call each other by ‘Hey!’ The standard conversation includes, ‘What is your shift?’, ‘What time break?’, ‘Short day?’ or ‘How’s your call?’

Another colleague, Lai Kwan was sharing with me the other day on how the Telecom operates in her country, Malaysia. I was shocked to find out that the subscriber over there have to pay a monthly subscription fee for the line and there isn’t anything like first 100 minutes of local outgoing call free, 500 free sms-es… There’s no package, just the line alone only, which by the way is rather expensive.

And *Drum Rolling* … There isn’t such a thing as Handset Upgrade Voucher.

Hardcore sia! It’s as if ‘You like it! You buy it! No Bargain!’ is the unspoken rule.

Anyway, I’d just gotten my Work SIM 2 days back. Number ending with 1609. Trust my mum to bet 4D on that. She nearly won! Why nearly? It’s because the number that came out was 1608! So near yet so far!

~~

Oh no! Haven’t been updating for a few days.

Watched Get Smart with my gay movie buddy, Ming Yong, last Saturday. Steve Carell is so funny. I was totally laughing my head off. AND! Anne Hathaway is just so pretty. Both M.Y and I concluded that she has this kind of ‘fake’ beauty, or rather I call her a Porcelain Doll. In simpler terms, she looks like someone who went to get a job done, but whom in fact, didn’t go for one.

Julia had jio-ed to go for a Scuba Diving course. I told her that I don’t have any insurance and she labelled me as a ‘useless’ . Oh Thanks -_-” ! Haha The course is rather expensive, around $400~$500. I consulted Cuiling, and she told me that the ‘Its around there!’

Conclusion? It pays to be a Scuba Diving Instructor!
