National Treasure: The Book of Secrets, Part 2

After hanging up with Shirmaine, I took out ‘Angels and Demons’ written by Dan Brown to read. Though I’d read the story before, I thought it would be good to refresh a little. Whoever who came out with the ambigrams featured in the story,  is a genius. I like!

                                     My Gay Movie Buddy

One of my good friend from Medic Spec Course. There’s this one time we meetup once a week, for a month, to watch a movie. That’s the period where the part 3 of popular franchise like Ocean 11 hit the screen.

From past experience, we have learnt that it’s ideal to meetup 15 mins before the show begins. That way, by the time we get the tickets and popcorns, we be ready for the show. It’s also kind of a habit for us to get popcorns already. Our standard order is, nacho with extra cheese, mixture of sweet and salted popcorns and iced lemon tea. As we are are leaving the booth with our purchase, I told M.Y, “This is something we can’t do in another 10 years time! If we are still single by then!”

I mean, by then, we will be in our 30s already. Imagine 2 guys, one taking the box of nachos while the other taking the popcorn and drinks, walking into the theater together. It’s kind of disturbing in some sense.

Just to side track a little. Other then having the best seats and surround system (In my own opinion), the good thing about Golden Village is they have a 10 mins of pre-show advertisement screening. In that way, you still have a plus minus 10 mins of time allowance if your movie companion is a tardy king/queen. Sometimes, that’s how I get to know what are the new shos that will be due for screening soon. This time round, it’s the Spiderwick Chronicles and the Chronicles of Narnia that I’m looking forward to.

Before taking our seat, he suddenly told me, “Just for the record, if I have somethng on today, I won’t be watching with you already!”

-_-” That bugger!

I’m not a movie review writer, so I’ll keep this short and simple. The show is nice and I love it. I’m looking forward to their next installment.

National Treasure: The Book of Secrets Part 1

My cell phone rang when I was waiting for Bus 700A, to go Plaza Singapura to meet up with Ming Yong for National Treasure: The Books of Secret. By the time I took it out from my pocket, it had already stopped ringing and the display read, ‘1 missed call’.

It stated ‘Bitch Maine’.

As I foresee that it’s going to be a long chat, I changed to my Hi-Card before calling her back.

“HiHi!” I exclaimed excitedly, though I couldn’t see what’s all the excitement is about.

“Oh you are still alive!” She said, sounding surprised and not in a good way. That’s the thing about having a best-bitch pal. When you didn’t call them over a period of time, they will bite.

After exchanging a few sacarstic remarks, we get down to the main topic. I updated her about my Starhub yet-to-sign-the contract job and how I got a call from M1 requesting for an interview on Wednesday.

“I started work on Tuesday!” She said.

“Tuesday? But I thought you said 27th?”

“Now then you ask! See? That’s what happen when you didn’t call me and ask!” (snappish)

“Why must I call you? I’m not your boyfriend!’

“But STILL, as a good friend, you must call me on my first day of job to ask how is it going mah!”

“Pur Lease! If Desmond asked and I didn’t asked, you would be happy right?” I retorted.

“No link…”

“But if I asked and Desmond didn’t ask, you would be unhappy right?”

“No link…”

… Thankfully, we were on the phone and not having a face-to-face conversation, else I would have lunged for her throat.

“Anyway, where are you?”

“At home!”

“Okay! Good! I still have $6.90 in my Hi-Card! Let’s bitch!”

And we spend the next 20 mins updating each other the happenings in our life, so far.
